Yasmine and I get outside. We head to the gym. When we get there, we see a girl in roller skates. “I’m Rinka. Hey! If you beat me, I’ll give you each a pair of roller skates!” Rinka says. ” I’ll go first!” Yasmine exclaims. “Go Espurr!” “Go zigzagoon!” “Hmm, Zigzagoon, the tiny raccoon pokemon.” I say as I look at my pokedex. “It says here that it is a Pokemon with abundant curiosity. It shows an interest in everything, so it always zigzags. Try distracting it.” “Got it! Espurr, use Play Nice!” “Zigzagoon, use Tackle!” Espurr faints. “Now it’s your turn, Xavier!” Yasmine says. “Go Pik!” I say. “Pik, use Thundershock!” “Zigzagoon, Tail Whip!” “Pik, finish it with Thunderbolt!” Zigzagoon faints. “You’re good!” Rinka says. “You could beat the gym leader!” She hands us each a pair of skates.
We head into the gym. It’s like a giant spider web. We easily clear the puzzle and all the trainers. “What’s this? A couple of challengers?” says Viola, the gym leader. ” Yes. We would like to challenge you.” Yasmine says. ” I’m Yasmine, and this is Xavier.” “Very well. I accept your challenge. ” Viola says as she sends out Surskit and Vivillon. ” Okay, go Pik!” “Go Chu!” “Pik, thunderbolt!” “You too Chu! thunderbolt!” “Vivillon, Surskit, Gust and Bubble!” ” Chu, Electro Ball towards Pik!” “Pik, catch it and hit it at Vivillon and Surskit with Iron Tail!” Vivillon and Surskit faint! ” Wow, you sure are strong!” Viola says as she hands us a gym badge.
I say, ” That Electro ball and Iron Tail combo was amazing! We should try it again someti-” “Look out” Yasmine screams as she pushes me out of the way and falls.
